Show and Tell Friday

Show and Tell

Welcome to Show and Tell Friday. Please check out Kelli's blog.
I decided to share these photos of the sugar cookies that I have traditionally decorated for Valentine's day for years. They are a LOT of work but my family love to look at them and mostly, eat them. :)

Please double click the photos to get a closer view of the cookies-you will be able to enjoy them better!!

Here are the cookie cutters that I used for cutting the shapes for the cookies that I made.

This is the lovely doily that I have under the cookies. My mom made this doily. She does beautiful work which I enjoy and appreciate.

I hope that you have enjoyed looking at these cookies. I wish I could let you sample them though. :)

Aren't you something else! WOW! I thought they were fake at first! I would LOVE to have a sample but I don't think they'd survive the trip to Texas! How special your family must feel!

The cookies are beautiful and look delicious. The crocheted doily is beautiful. My mother crocheted doilies when I was a child and taught me to crochet too. She crocheted me a dress when I was in the 4th grade. I featured it on my blog a couple of weeks ago. It is made in the pineapple pattern like your doily. I still have the dress. It's over 60 years old now. It still looks almost like new.

Those are the cutest cookies I have ever seen! You did such a great job! That is one area I really want to learn to do better in, making beautiful desserts.

Have a great weekend!

How pretty, both the cookies and the doily. Bet they taste good. I just finished my last pink-frosted giant heart cookie from a Valentine party. Otherwise I would be having pangs right now.

The cookies look delicious and are so beautiful... little works of art! I especially like the scallop-y edged heart cookie cutter. I have a Mackenzie too, and she would love that cookie, I'm sure.
