Start those kiddos early to enjoy the outdoors! I was backpacking Charlie all over Yellowstone at 9 months! Is it a coincidence that Yellowstone is his favorite place on earth like his daddy's? I think there has to be something to that! When the kids were little I'd call them over to feel the textures on a leaf or "smell this, look at that". It was a smuch for me as it was for them. When I hike I keep a magnifyin glass in my pack in case I want to see the details of something really up close and personal! Connie
It would be nice if more people did just that--go explore the parks with their kiddos. I like the idea of taking the magnifying glass with you--I'm going to have to do that with Mackenzie.
